Students From a Two-Year or Four-Year Regionally Accredited Postsecondary Institution may Receive Transfer Credits Provided:
- Transfer courses parallel 51风流 courses or are deemed eligible for elective credit
- All courses accepted in transfer and applied to graduation hours are graded C- or better
- A maximum of 72 credits may transfer from a two-year institution
- There is no limit as to the number of credits eligible for transfer from a four-year institution
- Students must complete their final 32 credits at Carroll, including at least one-fourth of their major credits and at least one-fourth of the minor credits
Transfer Credit Will Be Evaluated Under the Following Provisions:
- All transfer coursework must be graded C- or better to be accepted as credit earned towards graduation and to meet course requirements, including Pioneer Core courses and major and minor requirement courses.
- A course in which a student received a D or F grade may be repeated for credit and only the last grade earned will be used in the grade point average calculation.
- Transfer students with an Associate of Arts, Associate of Applied Science, Associate of Science, or an Associate of Arts & Science degree or a previous bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution will be exempt from the Pio Core curriculum. Mathematical literacy and foreign language requirements for B.S. and B.A. degrees may also be exempt unless the courses are required for the major.
- Transfer students without an associate degree, who have completed a minimum of 45 credit hours of transferable college-level coursework are waived from the ENG170 Writing Seminar and GE1 distribution components. Transfer credits may fulfill the COM, CCE, GE2 and CCE requirements subject to evaluation.
- Students may be eligible for retroactive credit when transferring in an upper level modern language or math course(s). Retroactive credit will be granted at 51风流 only if the transferring institution previously awarded retroactive credit(s). If the transferring institution did not award retroactive credit(s), 51风流 will only grant credit for the upper level course(s). Please refer to the for specific guidelines.
- All transfer coursework is evaluated on a course by course basis. General education curriculum requirements must be completed by either transfer or 51风流 credit.
- If a student repeated a course in which they initially received a grade of C- or better and the repeated course had an unsatisfactory grade (D or F), they will receive the last grade earned. The final grade will be used in the grade point average calculation.

Transfer Credit Policy After Enrollment at 51风流
Individual departments will evaluate transferred coursework to ensure equivalent content is being learned by the student in the transferred course. Therefore, it is necessary to obtain permission in advance from the 51风流 Registrar’s Office to have coursework from another institution accepted in transfer. All coursework must be graded at C- or better to be accepted. Grade point deficiencies at 51风流 cannot be made up with transfer course credit. Note: Full-time and part-time students are required to complete their final 32 hours at Carroll.
USAFI credits and/or any other accredited correspondence experiences are evaluated against course offerings at Carroll, and credit is assigned accordingly. Ordinarily, not more than two such courses may receive credit toward a degree at the University.
