As you celebrate this momentous achievement for our graduating students, take time to reflect on their journey and accomplishments. 51·çÁ÷ faculty and staff look forward to sharing the sense of pride parents and guests feel during the commencement ceremonies. We hope the blend of respected traditions and heartfelt speeches will create a beautiful experience that students and families will remember forever. 

Parent/Family/Guest Checklist

If your party needs hotel accommodations, please click to see the list of hotels in the area. 

If you are hoping to make restaurant reservations, Graduate Commencement typically goes until about 8 p.m. while Undergraduate Commencement typically goes until about 1 p.m.

Please click if any of your guests need ADA accommodations for either ceremony. This link is open until April 28. Accommodation is on a first come, first served basis. After April 28, we will make an effort to accommodate your party if possible.
 

Know Before You Go:

Where to park. Click for the campus parking map.

Guests needing a drop off location can be dropped off in Voorhees Lot #6 off College Ave.
Shuttle service is available from all parking lots. See the campus parking map in the link above for these locations.

Main Lawn: We make every effort to hold outdoor ceremonies. Chairs are provided for guests and seating opens at 4:30 p.m. for Graduate and 9:00 a.m. for Undergraduate.

Inclement Weather Plan: If strong storms, high winds, or hail is predicted, we may move the ceremonies inside. This will be communicated by noon on May 9 and by 7 a.m. on May 10 via the students'  Pio Alert system, Carroll email system and on our website. Only if we hold an indoor ceremony will guests need wristbands for entry. Students were provided with wristbands - 4 for Graduate, 2 for Undergraduate.

Both ceremonies will be livestreamed. The links will be on the main commencement webpage the week before Commencement and live approximately 30 minutes before each ceremony.

We are pleased to offer AVA Pro closed captioning service for any guest needing this service. Real time closed captions are provided via a website in 24 languages. Upon arrival to the ceremony, simply ask an usher for the QR code to link you to the closed caption window on your smart device.
